Checking in and sharing some PL pages

Sorry I have been out of touch for a while.  I do not know where the time goes. It's crazy that it's May already.  

I'm stopping by to share some of my recent PL pages.   I have completed a few more pages in my 2013 family album.  Here are some of my favorite pages.

I am really enjoying PL style scrapbooking. I love that I can work on past photos without feeling the pressure of have to scrap daily or weekly as some do.  My goal with this style of scrapbooking is to preserve the memories of days past while enjoying the Now of my life.  My photos will still be there when I am ready to scrap them.

Creating Your own Project Life style cards

I have been having a lot of fun creating my own Project Life style pocket cards lately.  I have recently joined the Design Team on Project Life Card Swap.  This is a fun group where we make and swap PL style cards every month.  You can check out the PLCS blog here.  

 For these cards I used some custom flair by my good friend Taniesa.  She sells Awesome flair in her Etsy Shop The Crafty Pickle These flair buttons are so cool, they are really flat so they fit well in the PL pockets.

This card was created based on the monthly sketch challenge on the PLCS blog. 

I created this 4x6 card for the Nautical Theme Swap

This is a Twinchie card  (2x2) I made for the 2Cute Swap

I created this 3x4 card for the Black & White Card Swap

This 4x6 card was created for the See the World Swap

This card is one of my favorites.  I recently created this one for a Swap called "Picspirational" the inspiration was a Gold and Green photo

My 2013 PL Album update.

I just spent 4 days scrapbooking in the mountains of Big Bear. I completed 36 pages in my 2013 PL album.  Keeping in mind my PL album is event based not daily or weekly.  This will be a heavily photo filled post.  I'm really loving this process, although I do not think it is a faster process as of yet.

 

Keep in mind I did not show every layout.  Some are just for my family and too personal to share in a public forum.  Thanks for taking a look and following me on this PL journey.

Sharing my Swap cards & a winner announced

Today I am sharing my Swap cards &  announcing the winner of my Vintage PL style cards.

 I joined a couple of Project Life Card swap groups on Facebook recently and these are some of the cards I have made to Swap.  The Yellow card is a "Spring Swap", The center black & yellow card is a "NO Theme" card and the Total Fail card is for "Not so Happy moments in life" Swap. This is for the group Project Life Swaps.

These Cards are for a "Furry Friends" Twinchies (2x2 cards) Swap. I made the 2 3x4 cards as a gift to the hostess.  This group is the Project Life Card Swap. 

I have not received any cards back from the Swaps yet, but when I do I will post them here for you all to see.

Starting my Project Life 2013 album

Today I am sharing the first few pages in my 2013 Project Life Album. I am not documenting weekly but monthly.  Also I am announcing the winner of my handmade PL style cards. 

   I only had a few photos for January.

February 15th was my mom's Birthday.  More Feb. photos to come.

Sharing some PL Style handmade cards.

Today I am sharing some fun PL Style cards I have been making.  Really enjoying this process.  I have a hard time just slipping a flat PL card into my pockets, I find myself wanting to embellish all my cards.  So I have decided to take my favorite collections and create some PL cards to match. 

This collection is from MME Chalk Studio I & II.  I'm in Love with the results.
