Sketch with Stash Challenge #6
"Game On"
Your challenge is to
Create a layout inspired by the sketch below
AND... you must include at least one game card and/or game piece on your page.
(Example: Playing card, bingo card, wooden game pieces, monopoly pieces, etc)

 Here is the Sketch.
All my friends and family know how much I love Scrabble so I was really inspired by this theme "Game On"  I just had to use Scrabble tiles in my Layout.

It's another Kiwi Lane Sketch Challenge

I hope your not bored with yet another DT Doodles Sketch Challenge by Kiwi Lane. I do enter almost every week.  I just love their templates and how great my pages look when I find inspiration using their sketches.

WEEK 31 DT Doodles Sketch

So I was sitting at my desk wondering what paper I wanted to use for this sketch and I see my pile of leftovers from the "poppy" collection that I used on my layout for My Creative Scrapbook and I decided to see if I could create my layout for this challenge with the scraps.... so here goes.

First off I used my Scallop template and my glitter gel pen to create this border, I love this Poppy paper.

Then I cut another border using one of the Sunnybrook Lane templates. and I cut 2 other patterned pieces to coordinate.

I then traced a flower and dry embossed on the back for texture. I also inked all my pieces with coordinating chalk ink.

After that I layered all my pieces together following the sketch and added my Embellishments.  Now I just need to figure out which photos to put on here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stash Challenge #6 ~ Summer Time!

Create a SUMMER THEMED LAYOUT
AND
you MUST include (3) or more pre-made Die-Cuts embellishments from you stash!

I used the MME Breaking Free collection to create my layout. I love the die cuts that came in this collection.  They work perfect on this layout. I actually created a 2 page layout but I only submitted the single page for the challenge

Summer inspiration challenge

http://whimsicaltwist.com/blog/blog-hop/blog-hop-summer-challenge/

This is our inspiration board for the Summer challenge going on now at http://whimsicaltwist.com/blog/  come on over and check out the challenge.

This is my take on the Summer Challenge.  I used MME collection - Collectable "Noteable" to create and embellish my layout.

I'm in love with the tiny words and tiny sayings by MME.  I find myself using them on every layout lately.  I really like that I can express the way I feel about the photos I'm scrap booking. I also used so fun sequins along the side of my tag.
I added the "rays" to my sun title by hand cutting some patterned paper then attaching them behind the sun with 3D foam squares.

I created this flower by layering die cut flowers I cut using my Sizzix Tim Holtz Tattered floral die.  The key to making this flower POP is to ink all the layers and then glue do together. Of course I used the cool enamel dots by MME to the center of this flower.  You can see on my layout several ways I used these dots to add embellishment.  These are so fun and come in a large variety of sizes and colors.

I hope you found a little summer inspiration in my post today.

I love my Kiwi Lane templates, I used these templates on my layout;  tiny brackets, Sweetheart Accents, Storybrook lane 12" border, and floral accents.  The pp I choose was from the "Poppy" collection from Little Yellow Bicycle company.  I did not have a large flower template for the background so I hand sketched my own on to chipboard and created my own template.

Thanks for checking out my latest scrapbook project.
