Pawprints on My Heart

Hello friends, Today I am sharing my most recent 12x12 scrapbook layout.

With Valentines almost here I decided to create a Scrapbook layout for one of my greatest Loves, My furbaby, Tyson the English Bulldog.
For this layout I pulled out some of my favorite Honey Bee stamps, Playful Pups, Pawsome sentiments, Simple Alpha and Beautiful Life
I really enjoy the ability to mix and match my stamps when creating.

The "Pawsome Sentiments" are perfect for creating titles and adding sayings
to your scrapbook layouts. Lining them up on a Misti makes custom titles super easy.
I had a lot of fun coloring this cute pup in a brindle color pattern to match my Bulldog Tyson. I used my Chameleon Color Tones Double-Ended Colored Pencils to color the pup then I cut him out ( clipping off his tail, because bulldogs do not have long tails )

Here are some photos of the stamps I used today.

 Thanks for stopping by today.
Until next time....

Flakey Friends Mini PL layout

Hi!  Today I am sharing a fun "Flakey Friends" mini PL, pocket page layout.

I used the Flakey Friends and More Flakey Friends stamps and Honey cut dies to create this layout.

I colored the hats and scarves using Chameleon Color Tones Double-Ended Colored Pencils
available for purchase in the Honey Bee shop   Here is a close up look at these cute snowy characters.

I used the MUST HAVE "Hill borders" dies to create some fun hills on the background of the Penguin card.

These stamps and dies are just perfect for creating cards and scrapbook pages during this snowy Winter season.   Buzz on over to the Honey Bee shop and pick up a set for all your winter crafts.

Until next time

Snow Birds Mini PL layout

It's finally cooling off here is Southern California and with the arrival of the Newest Honey Bee Stamps winter release I was inspired to create a Tweet Chilly pocket page layout using the Snow Birds stamps and dies.

These adorable Snow birds are so fun to create with along with the matching dies.  The sentiments in the set are perfect for documenting all your winter fun activities.

I used the Simple Stories Winter Wonderland paper and embellishments when creating this layout. I just love all the fun items in this collection, like the washi tape, enamel dots, fun die cuts and stickers. It really makes creating layouts fast and easy.

Here are some close up view of my PL cards
I used the Prima Marketing TROPICALS Watercolor Confections Set to color the birds in my layout.

If you love these Tweet Snow Birds as much as I do.. buzz on over to the Honey Bee shop and grab yourself a set before they sell out.

Until next time

Friends are the Sisters we choose for Ourselves

Hey Crafty friends!
Today I am sharing a card I created by mixing up several of the NEW Fun Fall stamp sets
now available in the HoneyBeeStamps shop

My favorite stamp set from this release is the Acorn Sisters stamp set.
I have several wonderful sweet friends that I consider Sisters.
It's that special relationship that we share that inspired this card.

I really wanted four sisters for this card so I stamped and fussy cut the forth sister
from the Seasonal Sweeties stamp set

I stamped these images using Archival Ink color: Tree Branch.
I like using the Archival inks from Ranger as they do not bleed when using watercolors

I attached my sisters together and then I colored them using a watercolor
technique with Distress inks

I also created the background of my card using Distress Inks. I just smooshed the colors around on a piece of Copic Marker paper.  I was trying to create a background of fall trees with a bit of sky and ground to frame out my Sisters.

I created my title by using the Gather Together and Acorn Sister stamp sets

Here is a closer look at my water colored sisters.

I hope my card has inspired you to get some fall cards made for your Sister Friends.

Until next time,
Happy Scrappin'

Stick with me PL layout

Good morning crafty friends! It's Carrie here!

Today I am sharing a recent Project life, pocket page layout with you. As summer comes to an end I find myself with lots of date night photos, or I should say selfies... lol.  I wanted to create a layout for some of those pictures ( once I get them printed, that's always the struggle, right?! )

I created this layout using one of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp sets,  Stick with Me
These sweet little cactus and succulent plants are fun to color.  I used some Prima water color pencils
to color in my stamped images.  I then used the matching steel honey cut Stick with Me dies
to cut out all my colored pieces.

I created little planter scenes by layering my cut images some are attached with 3D foam for dimension.

I added some sentiments from the Prickly Sentiments set
and used some wood grain Alpha stickers, by Simple Stories  for titles.

Now my layout is complete and ready for photos.  I better head on over to the Snapfish app and get those pictures printed.

Until next time!

For my first project I used the Zen Ocean stamp set to create this fun Distress Ink watercolor card. I also used the Hugs Honey Cut layered die to cut my title. I popped the title up with some foam tape. Coloring this Zen Ocean image was so relaxing, just like Adult coloring books. The details are amazing on this nearly 6" circle stamp. The possibilities are endless using this as a background stamp for all your summer crafting projects.

For my second card I created this multi layered card using the A7 double stitched frame dies for my background and the Ocean Bliss stamp set.  For this card I created the background and colored the image with the amazing Distress Oxide inks ( also available in the Honey Bee shop ) The background is made with broken china, cracked pistachio and faded jeans. If you have not tried these beautiful inks, you should.  This mermaid in this set is so lovely.

For my last card I used a combination of both stamp sets. Again they are Ocean Bliss, with this lovely Mermaid sitting on a rock and the Zen Ocean set, this time using several of the individual stamps included with the Large background stamp to create a 3 panel card. I colored all these images with the Distress Oxide inks.  I love the soft colors of these inks when applied like watercolors. I used the Sending you Sentiments to create my card title.  Melissa has created so many fun title sets to mix and match with all of the amazing Honey Bee stamps.

Hello Succulents

Hello!  Today I would like to share with you my latest card created using the "Hello Gorgeous" stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps.  along with the Honey cut dies that match the set. This is one of my favorite sets from the latest release.  So many possibilities with this fun stamp set.

Succulents are the hot trend right now.  When first looking at this set I see beautiful floral clusters and pretty wood rounds.  But if you happen to color these florals in shades of green they look just like succulents.

When creating this card I heat embossed my images using "Hot Chocolate" nuvo embossing powder by Tonic Studios.  I love the raised outline that an embossed image creates for easy coloring. I colored my images with Zig Clean color brush pens.

After I colored all my images I used the Honey Cuts steel rule dies to cut out my images.  I like to shadow my images with a bit of color as I do not care for the white border created with the dies.

I Cut out the Hello sentiment using the matching die set and attached it using 3D foam squares adhesives.

I hope my project helps you think outside the box when using your stamp sets.

Until next time!
