Hello Succulents

Hello!  Today I would like to share with you my latest card created using the "Hello Gorgeous" stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps.  along with the Honey cut dies that match the set. This is one of my favorite sets from the latest release.  So many possibilities with this fun stamp set.

Succulents are the hot trend right now.  When first looking at this set I see beautiful floral clusters and pretty wood rounds.  But if you happen to color these florals in shades of green they look just like succulents.

When creating this card I heat embossed my images using "Hot Chocolate" nuvo embossing powder by Tonic Studios.  I love the raised outline that an embossed image creates for easy coloring. I colored my images with Zig Clean color brush pens.

After I colored all my images I used the Honey Cuts steel rule dies to cut out my images.  I like to shadow my images with a bit of color as I do not care for the white border created with the dies.

I Cut out the Hello sentiment using the matching die set and attached it using 3D foam squares adhesives.

I hope my project helps you think outside the box when using your stamp sets.

Until next time!

Country Blooms Watercolor layout

Hi today I am sharing a Watercolor mini Pocket page layout using the Country Blooms stamp and steel dies set from HoneyBeeStamps

Working with matching dies and stamps are so awesome.  It is really a time saver when creating. Especially if you do not like fussy cutting.

The Country Blooms set is full of beautiful flowers that you can color in so many different ways to suit the season or match any project you are working on.

I colored my project with a combo of watercolor paint and glitter gel pens for some sparkle and contrast.

I like to first lay down some lighter shades of watercolor to create my pallet.  I also purposely color outside the lines of the stamped image so that when I use the steel dies to cut out my flowers I do not have a white edge.

The dies perfectly line up around the edge of the flowers.

I accented my flowers using some Nuvo Drops.   This is a fairly new product by Tonic that you can use to create your own enamel dots.

Every layout needs a journal card. By lightly adding a bit of watercolor to the edge of the grid card then layering it onto a watercolor background, this journal card is perfect for my layout.

My completed layout.

Be sure to hop over to the HoneyBeeStamps shop and check out the new matching dies for all current stamp sets in stock now.

Happy Red, White and Blue Week

Hello Crafty friend... this week is a celebration of the Red, White and Blue.

Over at HoneyBeeStamps we are hosting a fun challenge for this week.

We would love to challenge our customers, friends & crafty kids to play along with us. Share your creations on the Honey Bee Stamps Website, Honey Bee Stamps Facebook Page or on Instagram using the hashtag #HBSChallenge so that we can see everything you create!  We challenge you to share anything crafty (cards, scrapbook pages, mixed media). While we love to see you use Honey Bee Stamp products, they are not required to participate.

Here's a look at a Mini PL layout I created for this challenge.
For these two cards I used the County Wreath stamp set.  I colored my flowers with my Spectrum Noir color pencils, adding a bit of white gel pen to highlight some parts. I fussy cut the flowers and attached them to the wreath above ( some are attached with 3D foam squares ) I created my title USA with the New "Hand lettered Alpha" set and I pulled out some of my other HoneyBee stamps for the Celebrate and the.  I love mixing and matching up all the fun words in the different HoneyBee stamps to create custom titles for my cards.

So pull out some of your fun Red, White and Blue supplies and join the challenge.

Stop by later in the week, I will be sharing some more PL cards I created using this fun color pallet.

Color my World mini layout

Today I am sharing my latest mini PL layout using the "Color My World" stamp set from the Honey Bee Stamps newest release.  This set is inspired by the adult color book trend you see everywhere. It is perfect for creating fun cards, scrapbook projects and mixed media art.

In creating these cards I heat embossed the flowers with fine black embossing powder.  I then fussy cut the flowers attaching some to my cards with 3D foam squares. I also added a touch of white gel ink to the flowers for a bit of "pop".   To accent my cards I used the fun Birthday Bash sequin confetti mix now available in the Honey Bee shop.

On these two cards I created faux flair buttons by adding an glittered epoxy circle sticker
over the embossed flower.

Here is a look at the "Color my World" stamp set I used to create this layout.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Country Wreath - I heat embossed the wreath and then fussy cut it out. I attached it using 3D foam tape for dimension.
Happy Everything- The HAPPY and Day are from this set.

My Honey Bee pocket page

Spring has sprung and with it comes beautiful flowers, butterflies and Sweet Honey Bees.

Today I am sharing my recent mini Project Life style pocket page.  I have created this page using the
"Sweet as Honey" stamp set.  This is by far my favorite set right now.

I love the blossom flowers in this set. For this project I stamped a ton of blossoms onto some pretty pale yellow paper. I then took a yellow paint pen and white gel pen accenting the flower centers. I then fussy cut the blossoms to add to my cards.  I inked all the edges with Ground Espresso Distress ink.

Using my Fiskers Hexagon punch I punched out several different pieces of patterned paper to create my background.

I think this set of coordinating cards came out super cute.  There are so many fun sayings you can combine to create a lot of different sentiments.  I just can't resist these adorable little bees with their sweet heart wings.  Too cute!
